About Jason
I hope you will enjoy reading my blog, along with what is happening in the Browning household. I try to enjoy life. I like to have a good time and laugh. I love my family and thank God every day for them. I have a beautiful wife, Cody, who has been a God-send, and two wonderful boys who teach me more about life than I ever imagined.
I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and am in the process of preparing for the License Professional Counselor (LPC) exam. Currently I am employed with University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) as a psychotherapist. I work with inmates at a psychiatric facility near Tyler, TX.
I have been blessed far beyond what I deserve. I pray daily for the strength and courage to live in such a way that others will see Jesus through me. Nothing is more important to me than my heart being set on God’s kingdom, hence the name of this website.
I also enjoy baseball, football, fishing, and reading. May the grace of God bring about commitment in all of us!

Jason,
Just found your blog through John Dobb’s tweet about you joining TheoBloggers. Welcome aboard – I’m a TheoBlogger, too. I’m also a marriage and family therapist, and former family minister, down in Baton Rouge. I look forward to getting know you, online – if not in person one day.
Hi Roger,
Good to meet you. And thanks for the “welcome.” I am impressed with the set up of theobloggers and definitely like what I see thus far with regard to capabilities and so forth. I’m still navigating a bit and trying to figure a few things out but I was able to make the transfer from blogspot with ease. Thanks to Brad of course. I look forward to getting to know you more and reading your blog. Take care!
Welcome to Theoblogger! Blessings in your ministry.
Obligated to Him,

Hey Jason,
Good luck to you and your family on your move. I am sure you have researched and prayed for your continued journey. That is good that you are going to pursue your LPC. I thought I would too, but have decided to pursue my PhD. I will be attending either UH or SHSU. Atleast these are the two I have been in contact with and have shown interest in me. Fortunately, the Profs at UHV are giving me great letters of recommendation.
I think you will make a great Clinician. Your work is cut out for you though. Remember, Sullivan always said “It is work”. And as we both know it is work. You take care and my God bless and watch over you and your family.
Keep in touch,
Tammy Hernandez
